JFK Terminal One Group Association (TOGA) and travel tech provider, Ink Innovation, have collaborated for a trial of the Ink Disaster Recovery System (DRS) at John F. Kennedy (JFK) Airport Terminal One. This initiative, amid JFK’s significant redevelopment, aims to ensure uninterrupted operations for the only 100% international JFK terminal.
Ink DRS, a robust backup system, successfully completed a live trial, demonstrating its efficiency in passenger processing, flight operations, and post-flight messaging. Notable features include a processing speed of 50 passengers per hour per service point at check-in during peak times. The trial highlights the ease of adoption, with agents replicating passenger processing after a brief 45-minute training session.
TOGA emphasises Ink DRS’s independence from airport infrastructure, enhancing its role in risk management and passenger flow redesign. The ongoing assessment of Ink DRS will provide insights into optimising operations and reducing congestion at JFK Terminal One.
